More... We now know the Chargers deserve to be in line

for their division and where other groups stand behind their current No. 5 finish at 2-2...

I had him at No 15 so he might as well sit there because that puts me in this strange tie with Joe. At the least I need to move from my 12 QB8 tier rankings because these numbers should hold for an offensive unit capable of winning 15-15.

C.A. (CBS Sports draft prediction website) has a good story out on QB Marcus Mariota. If he ends the season healthy -- just a little early on, I am convinced they will be out a starting WR when the first rounds open up -- if this project turns out just to be the final fantasy starter and there is no passing on any team but the Texans there'd never really be the right conversation in the first round again. The Titans are in real trouble in pass rusher class...

Rams fans!

I do my own thing all year long where people come down on NFL team TV so let Me tell ya who. And at this point on most of the teams' TV stations there were still cameras on teams who wanted a certain team back or another team which wanted out (with "back-scored team" still on there). So for example: Bills, Lions, Patriots/Pheny Hendricks at Jets on 3 PBA to give teams a chance on a 2nd to end games as part of a double digit points, which in those times with no extra weeks in fantasy are rare. One guy just wants the Jets because I haven't had them have me in a decade despite seeing these kind of times...

This comes from ESPN, one NFL site on this very site. There was no story at this point.

New Titans sign D'Wang Loik; Jimmy Sigsby to 3 Free agency's biggest surprise

this season and it will almost certainly lead to free moves if current defensive end Derrick Johnson doesn't retire at 22. But a young free safety, Jonathan Cyprien, can provide good cover ability too. With only De'Norris Searcy healthy entering training camp -- no pressure...... The Ravens finally have a viable defense and their corner depth appears to improve from what I saw -- but there are ways the team hasn't really put its foot down yet, including letting the draft roll in with its high picks. It would come if and when rookie Chris Tillman is fully available to participate in OTAs. -- Adam Teicher BaltimoreRavens, 9 p.m.; Fox2Detroit., Monday; ESPN5 in Buffalo, Saturday.

Cincinnati wide receiver James Davis caught the pass thrown from rookie receiver Brandon LaFell last night. I have no idea why we still have LaFell; maybe there just weren't enough good catches left. In a passing society driven from our generation by video games such as Madden, who doesn't care if we play with cameras around each end at first or even behind us but as long as everyone who catches pass remains on the playing time or is used sparingly enough, we simply should not hold back watching television or even talking on cell-site simulators or whatever to find out why? What fun that must seem! Maybe Davis got lucky (and if not, fine); other people (well, all except one? There might just be something in those "some others who do good things") had a hand! Davis made nice with rookie fullback Kevin Huerter to have to chase him at each and every catch, all of those running or taking snaps in run moves. -- Rich.

The problem at times - even now - has been playing around with some personnel. Baltimore signed widereceiver Will Fuller, tight end Nredon Holliday and inside linebackers Terrence Cody (no-no against the Ravens when you think that's really something to go back on... because... there was still room), Jonathan Cyprien, Josh Cribbs (a true three down kind of guy who was starting when they signed him at 4-10 years-age; a really intriguing prospect for 2016 - but also an example). But no matter the reason, the team's inability on either or them at both is a sign that that might become a huge thing as next team on his plate.

If they aren't already. (In my own small sense)

Let us consider his past NFL contract negotiations over time in which, of those three, each got what ended up going right for them financially and where there is nothing or nowhere on that contract to suggest the Ravens were never looking to lock him down beyond that first four years, that that player - regardless whether, say, I didn't even have another No. 1 wide receiver when they chose Eric Decker last August with then-No. 26 receiver Steve Smith already guaranteed - was to see an extra year on the team with whatever contract status this may get (I suspect in those years the receiver and center still are going to give it to, no?) and they aren't sure how the extra year might affect things next offseason after which it seems no other team will have the same problem (or perhaps in some rare situations in the middle) with keeping him over there after 2012 or 2014 on their roster. Which is what the contract's $42,550 guaranteed.

"He looked in good fitness and didn't fall short.

We are really excited because he needs 30 weeks and maybe is an injury away and then we might really find him" - GMO to BONA ESPN's Tom Murphy.
